Hello to all those people who have contacted me regarding my support group for single parents.
Some of you may have responded to my posters, or referrals from school newsletters, or seen my article in the Hutt News, others of you I may have just talked to you briefly, in person about my group. However you heard….THANK-YOU for your support and I am glad you took the initiative to contact me
I’m excited to say that the first meeting date has now been set:
Tuesday 15th September 7pm – 9.30pm approx at Professionals Real Estate, 28 Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt
The first meeting will be ADULTS ONLY until we discuss this further at the meeting.
I would love to see as many of you there as possible (so far I have had around 38 responses) and guys if you all turn up on the night there will be 5 of you!! So please don’t let us ladies frighten you as Im sure you will benefit just as much as the ladies….and if you can bring along your single parent mates – all the better
Please do continue to spread the news around if you know of anyone else who may be interested. The more the better!!
This will be a really new experience for all of us, and me in particular as my first time facilitating…so just don’t be too hard on me
Im really looking forward to meeting you all.
If any of you have any special skills/talents or ways you can help the group (or me) ie: involvement in other community groups etc., and are maybe willing to say a few words on the night, please let me know so I can work it into the evening. I’m thinking people like Kate D, Scott, John D, Lena.
Please could you let me know if you intend coming along to the first meeting so I have an idea of numbers.

Looking for a serparated/divorced/single moms support group in Wellington city area. I can’t find anything. I really need to regularly talk to others about what I am dealing with and know if it is typical or not. THANKS

When I first got divorced I joing a group called WSD (widowed separated & divorced) They should be in the phone book or check them out on the net. If you cant find them get back to me as I have a few contacts still. They are good for sorting out your emotions in the early days!! Be strong!

I am a life coach and work a lot with single mums. I would be very interested to know more about your support group and maybe recommend it to my clients.
Let me know how you go with the creation of this group, I could even become a sponsor if you are interested.
