Hi all, below are the dates for meetings in West Auckland. These meetings are for us to get together for support and discuss events for our group.
If you are living outside of the West Auckland area please come and join us until we are able to organise meetings in areas closer to you.
The venue is: Kelston Community Centre, Cnr Great North Rd and Awaroa Rd, Kelston
Times are: 7pm – 8pm
Cost is: gold coin donation (only if you can afford it)

My name is yong and I am studying Architecture at Auckland University.
This is my final year and I am writing a design thesis.
My topic is to design a community of state houses only for young single mothers.
I hope that at the end of this year, my design would be a part of current developments of state housing by Housing New Zealand Cooperation.
I have already contacted them and had a meeting with the principal architect, Robert Cunningham. He went down to Wellington this Wednesday, 13th of May, and, he said he would talk to his manager about this project.
First of all, I need your help.
I need to be aware of current conditions of young mums and what they need.
If it is possible, I would like to arrange a survey.
It would be great if I get a chance to talk to you

It would be nice if you could use equality in your study and include young single fathers too. Things have changed over the years.
But if you want it just for mothers we can accommodate with a few hundred doing your survey.

I’m also a newbie, but very keen to meet up with other single parents out west.
I have a 9 month old boy,I work part time and have been living in Nz almost 4 years from the UK.
